Description

Mars on the morning of Sat 30 May 2020 AEST.

24 minute WinJUPOS composite of 57,000 frames captured between 4:27 and 5:04 am local time. Planetary disk is steadily getting larger with Mars steadily losing its southerly declination and entering Aquarius.

There appears to be a red dust spot over the South Pole and quite a lot of activity still over the Hellas Basin. Tongue of Sinus Sabaeus is rising in the west while Syrtis Major is approaching the terminator. South Polar Cap is fringed by high contrast boundary with hints of purple terrain. This view has been resized 1.8 times to improve overall image scale.
